Golden State Warriors star shooting guard Klay Thompson wore this black All-Star Edition uniform during the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. For the 2018 All-Star Game, the NBA did away with the traditional East-West format, instead letting LeBron James and Steph Curry draft their own teams for the exhibition contest. Thompson, and his Golden State teammate Draymond Green, were both drafted to Team Stephen, while Team LeBron selected Kevin Durant to break up the members of the “Hamptons Five”. Thompson scored 15 points, on 5-10 three-point shooting, in Team Steph’s 148-145 defeat to Team LeBron at STAPLES Center.
This was Thompson’s fourth consecutive All-Star appearance, with the former Washington State star averaging 21 points and 4 rebounds per game for the 58-24 Warriors. In the playoffs, Thompson contributed 19.6 points per game and tenacious defense as the Warriors claimed their third NBA title in four seasons.
Offered here are Thompson’s jersey and shorts from the 2018 All-Star Game. The black jersey has a black-and-white version of the Warriors logo sewn on the chest below a KIA advertisement patch and a Jordan Brand manufacturers logo. Thompson’s number “11” is sewn on the back of the jersey in black and white tackle twill below an All-Star Game logo. “THOMPSON” is sewn below the “11” in white tackle twill. An “LA 18” tag is sewn on the back outside collar. “ALL-STAR EDITION” and “LA 2018” are applied to the front left tail in white lettering above a Jordan Brand size “50” tag with a “Length +4” flag. Also included in this lot are Thompson’s shorts from the All-Star Game. These shorts are black, with a Jordan Brand logo applied to the upper left leg. An All-Star logo is sewn on the lower left leg, while “ALL-STAR” is sewn on the lower right leg. A “LA 18” tag is sewn on the center of the front waistband. A Jordan Brand size “44” tag with an attached “Length +2” flag is sewn on the back inside waistband. “THOMPSON” is handwritten in black marker on this tag. This uniform comes with two COAs from Fanatics (Jersey: AA0021497, Shorts: AA0021498).
