Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco wore this red Phillies batting helmet during the 2015 MLB season, his rookie year. Franco played 80 games in 2015, hitting .280 with 14 homers, 50 RBI, and 22 doubles in his partial year with the Phillies. In June of 2015, Franco was named the National League Rookie of the Month after slashing .352/.391/.648 with eight longballs, eight doubles, and 24 RBI in 27 games.

This red size “8” helmet has a flap over the left ear, and the Phillies white “P” logo applied to the front. Franco’s number “7” and a MLB logo are applied to the back of the helmet. The interior padding of the helmet is intact, and “8 ‘13” is written inside the helmet in silver marker. The top of the helmet is cracked, and a small crack is present on the brim of the helmet. This helmet shows excellent evidence of game use, and is accompanied by a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 066010) that designates the helmet as “team issued”, a common assignation for items collected by MLB after or during the postseason.
