Colorado Rockies All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado wore this purple Rockies alternate jersey on April 11th and April 14th, 2015. The Rockies hosted the Chicago Cubs on the 11th at Coors Field and Arenado belted his second home run of the season off Cubs' pitcher Jason Hammel in the bottom of the second inning wearing this jersey. Colorado then visited the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park on the 14th and left as the 4-1 victors. Arenado contributed to Scott Oberg’s first MLB victory with a 1-3 night, doubling off Tim Hudson in the first inning and scoring on Corey Dickerson’s single in the next at-bat. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Arenado turned in one of the defensive plays of the season, catapulting his body over the tarp in foul territory before landing in the stands with Gregor Blanco’s pop-up clutched in his glove. Arenado is regarded as one of the finest defensive third basemen in baseball history despite his young age, winning the National League Gold Glove award in each of his first four seasons in the Major Leagues.

The All-Star Arenado hit a career-and-National League-high 42 home runs, with an MLB-best 130 RBI in 2015, his first year playing in the Midsummers Classic. Arenado added a .287 batting average with 43 doubles, and his 354 total bases led all Major Leaguers.

This purple button-down jersey has “COLORADO” sewn across the chest in silver, black, and white tackle twill. Arenado’s number “28” is sewn on the chest and back in black and white tackle twill. “ARENADO” is sewn across the back shoulders in black and white tackle twill below a MLB logo patch. A Rockies logo patch and a white Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. A Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail. Arenado has signed the “2” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker, adding the inscriptions “Tarp Catch” and “4/14/15” on the “8” digit. This jersey comes with a LOA from the Colorado Rockies for game use and a LOA from PSA/DNA for Arenado’s signature. Included with the lot listing are apparent photo matches of the jersey provided by the consignor for the April 11th and April 14th games. Please note that third party confirmation has not been engaged due to expense and buyers will make their own conclusion.
