This entry into legendary sports artist Arthur Miller’s visually exquisite “A Baseball Card That Never Was” series depicts the mercurial Ty Cobb as he may have appeared in the 1950 Bowman trading card set. Cobb, formerly baseball’s all-time hit leader, is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time. His .366 career batting average is one of baseball’s unbreakable records. This canvas artwork shows Cobb in his Detroit Tigers home uniform, squaring up for what can only be an inch-perfect bunt. This canvas artwork measures 33 x 40 inches. Miller has signed the lower right-hand corner and the reverse side of this artwork. “A Baseball Card That Never Was: Ty Cobb (1950 Bowman) 2017” is written on the reverse side of this sumptuous artwork. This painting is an excellent display piece from one of America’s most renowned sports artists.
