This example shows Roberto Clemente as he may have appeared on a 1948 Leaf baseball card, seven years before his Major League debut with the Pirates. This artwork shows a portrait of the great Puerto Rican rightfielder, with his angular face framed by a calm blue background. This artwork measures 24 x 29 inches. Miller has signed the upper left-hand corner of the front of this canvas and lower reverse side as well. “A Baseball Card That Never Was: Roberto Clemente (1948 Leaf) 2018” is written on the reverse side of this canvas.
