The clothing designer Jeff Hamilton has been a fixture in the NBA scene since the 1980s thanks to his eye-catching leather jackets. Here, Hamilton diverges from his traditional medium to create a series of customized Kobe Bryant jerseys in collaboration with street artists. This entry into Hamilton’s series, “Prickly Ball”, started as a purple Lakers jersey, but after Hamilton’s collaboration with the artist Andre Miripolsky, it became a work of art. This jersey is accented with countless three-dimensional white dots, with a red heart directly underneath the Lakers wordmark on the chest of the jersey. A snake is painted on both sides of the jersey, and “KOBE” is sewn on the back shoulders in red snakeskin-material over yellow leather.
Bryant’s number “24” is sewn on the back of the jersey in white mesh over yellow and purple tackle twill. Bryant has signed the “4” digit in black marker. A size “2XL” tag is sewn on the front left tail, with “Miripolsky” and “17” handwritten on the tag in black marker. This item comes with a Panini hologram (PA37923).
