New York Giants Hall of Famer Mel Ott has signed this encapsulated 3.5 x 5.5 inch postcard. Ott debuted for the Giants in 1926 at the age of 17, and remained with the team until his retirement in 1947. Ott hit 511 homers in his career, and was the first National League batter to surpass the 500 home run mark. Ott made 11 consecutive All-Star teams from 1934 to 1944 and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951.
Ott is pictured here in a zip-up Giants home jersey. He is wearing a pair of spectacles, and looks to be signing autographs for the Polo Grounds crowd. Ott has signed this postcard in black pen. This postcard has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (84112725).
