Here's the "promo card" for Bond Bread's ambitious Jackie Robinson advertising campaign. This scarce 2-1/4" x 3-1/2", black-and-white piece's reverse presents language attributed to Robinson, implying strongly that the nutrients from Bond's bakeries factored strongly in the player's spectacular success. This is a great sample card from one of the rarest regional (New York area) sets ever made, featuring one of baseball's most historic figures—in his rookie season! The card's condition liabilities (generally peripheral wrinkles and small creases) are inconsequential in terms of the piece's aesthetic allure. Good condition.
