During the 1997, 1998 and 1999 seasons in which this bat was used, Ken Griffey Jr. was simply the best ball player in the game. The only man to live up to the nickname "The Natural", Griff went on a home run tear over those three years, hitting 160 and taking the AL MVP Award in '97. As could be expected on the bat of the best player in the game, Junior's Louisville Slugger C271 bat shows outstanding use and is un-cracked. The barrel has many ball marks and stitch impressions along with cleat imprints and scuffs from contact with other equipment. The handle has been taped in Griffey’s typical crisscross fashion and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in contrasting silver marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13729) for the game use and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AE07308) for the signature.
