Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing was the prize of the first-ever NBA draft lottery in 1985. The NBA’s first-overall draft pick out of Georgetown University was selected by the New York Knickerbockers, who made Ewing the building block of their franchise. Ewing chiseled a Hall of Fame career over 15 seasons, the majority of which he centered the Knicks as he was selected to 11 NBA All-Star games and led New York to two finals appearances. Ewing was elected to the NBA Hall of Fame in 2008.

Offered is this road blue New York Knicks road jersey that was worn by Ewing during the 1997-98 season in which he averaged 20.8 points per game. This blue mesh jersey has “NEW YORK” in orange and white tackle-twill arced across the front chest and “33” below. The NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left chest. The back of the jersey has “EWING” arced across the shoulder in white tackle twill and “33” in orange and white tackle twill below. The sides have a thick black mesh stripe outlined in orange and at lower left tail, the Starter manufacturer’s tag sports “NBA Authentics” emblem, Knicks insignia, Starter logo, and “Designed and Tailored Exclusively for the NEW YORK KNICKS by Starter.” Attached to the Starter tag are two flags that read “50” and “4” L.B.”. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a LOA from Mears, who have graded this jersey a perfect A10. There is also a letter of provenance from Michael Vitiello, who states in his LOA that the jersey “was obtained directly by my grandfather from New York Knicks equipment manager.”
