For many reasons, the 1995 New York Yankees baseball team should be considered one of the most important teams in Yankee history. With the true rookie seasons of two of the greatest of all time, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter, no one could have predicted what was next for the Yankee franchise. With a mostly lackluster season that saw Don Mattingly hang up the pinstripes on a 79-65 squad, needless to say there wasn't much expectation of demand for most team signed Yankee baseballs that year. However, with only 15 appearances for Jeter and 19 for Rivera, and the two only playing in the same game three times during the 1995 campaign, anything signed by these two dating back to 1995 is of the utmost rarity.

This is one of only a handful of 1995 team signed baseballs to bear both Rivera and Jeter's signature, as practically the only time the two were staples on the bench that year was from May 29th-June 11th that year. This Official American League Gene A Budig baseball has been signed by 19 members of that historic 1995 team with notables starting with three of the "Core Four's" true rookie signatures in Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte. Other notables include Don Mattingly, Wade Boggs, Buck Showalter and many more. With a short two-week timespan of possible grouped play by these legends, the rarity of this offer cannot be stressed enough. The ball itself remains in fair condition with decent spotting and some scuffing. The ballpoint pen autographs remain bold and this item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z51759).
