Seattle Mariners shortstop Alex Rodriguez wore these cleats in 2000, his final year with the Mariners before signing a lucrative free agent deal with the Texas Rangers. Rodriguez was one of the best players in baseball in 2000, hitting 41 homers with 132 RBI and a .316 batting average. He made his fourth All-Star team in 2000 and led the Mariners to the American League Championship Series. Rodriguez retired in 2016 with career totals of 696 homers, 2,086 RBI, and 3,115 hits.
These high-top Nike cleats are black and white, with black Nike swoosh logos sewn on each side of the cleats. A white Nike swoosh and “AIR” are embroidered on the heels in white while an additional Nike logo is applied to the tongues. Six metal spikes are present on the sole of each cleat. Rodriguez has signed both of these shoes in silver marker, inscribing “#3” after each signature. Rodriguez’s number “3” is also written on each heel in silver marker. These cleats come with a LOA from JT Sports for game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for each cleat.
