After two straight 13-3 seasons that ended in trips to the Super Bowl, the 1992 Buffalo Bills took a small step back during the regular season, finishing 11-5 and in second place in the AFC East. However, their playoff results would seem very familiar. After victories over the Houston Oilers (a 41-38 shootout in the Wild Card) and Pittsburgh Steelers (24-3), the Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins, 29-10, to once again win the AFC Championship, their third straight such title. In an all-too-familiar story, the Bills’ season would end in a Super Bowl loss, this time to the Dallas Cowboys. Thurman Thomas powered the offense, rushing for 1,487 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 58 catches for 626 yards. Andre Reed recorded 65 catches for 913 yards.

Presented here is Reed’s 10K gold 1992 Buffalo Bills AFC championship ring, manufactured by Jostens, featuring many small diamonds making up the shape of a football, set on a large red colored stone. “BUFFALO BILLS 1992 A.F.C. CHAMPIONS” reads around the outside. One side shows the name “REED” above a Bills team helmet and “14-6” (the team’s overall record). “WR-83” – Reed’s position and uniform number – is shown at the bottom. The Super Bowl XXVII logo centers the opposite side, with “XXV” and “XXVI” above, while “NFL” and “WR-83” appear below. Inside the band is marked “10K©JOSTENS” and includes Reed’s initials of “ADR”. This ring – which comes with a LOA from Andre Reed – is an approximate size 12 and weighs approximately 43.9 grams.
