Presented here is a framed display containing a first day cover signed by Muhammad Ali as well as tax return documents from the champ’s 1962 filings. Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, was charged a pretty penny by the state of Kentucky in the 1962 fiscal year. Included in this framed display is a list of his 1962 tax schedules, a Declaration of Estimated Kentucky Income Tax for 1963 form, and a typed letter signed by Gordon Davidson of the law offices of Wyatt, Grafton & Sloss. The first day cover in this framed display has been signed by Ali in blue pen. Also shown in the display is a placard that reads “Cassius M. Clay Jr. / 1962 Original Tax Returns”. This item comes in a 32 x 16-inch framed display and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA (Z78652).
