Francis Ouimet’s victory at the 1913 US Open was a watershed moment for golf, opening the sport up to legions of amateur and working-class golfers. Ouimet went on to win two US Amateur titles and served as a sterling ambassador for the sport of golf until his death in 1967. In 1974, Ouimet was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Offered here is a cut signed by Ouimet in black pen and displayed inside a first day cachet featuring Ouimet.
