Albert Pujols used this Marucci AP5-M model bat during the July 29, 2009 game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Facing Ramon Troncoso in the 11th inning, Pujols broke the bat from the handle to the barrel. The bat exhibits excellent use with the distinctive crack. The bat had been broken in two pieces but has since been secured. There are several ball marks with stitch impressions on the left and back barrels with blue ink transfers. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the date of manufacture “6/17/09,” Pujols’ number “5,” length “4,” and weight “1.7” are stamped into the knob. Pujols has signed the barrel and added “Game Used” in gold marker. This bat comes with a from PSA/DNA (1B15523), having been graded a GU 7.5 and MLB Authenticated holograms (LH702302, LH702303) for the game use. Additionally, there is a LOA from JSA (Z87953) for the signature.
