Considered one of the best second baseman of all-time, Hall of Famer Joe Morgan began his career with the Houston Astros, with his first full season coming in 1965. Morgan would eventually move on to the Cincinnati Reds and was a key member of the famed “Big Red Machine” of the 1970’s where he helped lead them to two World Series titles.

This offered Hillerich & Bradsby S44 model bat was used by Morgan during the 1965-68 seasons. This bat displays excellent game use with a crack in the handle that has been professionally repaired. There are ball marks and light checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. The handle has a light coating of pine tar and his number “18” is hand written in faded black marker on the knob. Morgan has signed his name in bold black marker on the barrel and inscribed “HOF 90”. There is also a separate inscription on the barrel that reads “1965 Houston”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13649) and has been graded a solid GU 8. There is also LOA from JSA (Z87961) for his signature.
