This Schutt Sports base was used during the Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza’s final game as a member of the New York Mets on October 2nd, 2005 at Shea Stadium. This game, an 11-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies, was Piazza’s 972nd game with the Mets, his most with any team. Piazza finished his New York career with 220 of his 427 career homers and over 1,000 hits. Piazza was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.
