Offered here are two New York Mets game used bases. The first base was used as second base for all nine innings of the Mets 6-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 1st, 2008 at Shea Stadium. Johan Santana earned the win, the 100th of his career, after tossing 7.2 innings of one-run ball with six punch outs. This milestone win came four years to the day before Santana pitched the only no-hitter in Mets history against the St. Louis Cardinals on June 1st, 2012. David Wright, Carlos Beltran, and Ryan Church each knocked in two runs for the Mets in their 6-1 victory. This base bears a Shea Stadium Final Season logo and is accompanied by a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 049884).
The second base in this lot was used on September 2nd, 2015 during the Mets 9-4 win over the Phillies at Citi Field. This base was used as first base for the first three innings of this game. In the bottom of the second, Kelly Johnson drove in David Wright with a double off Aaron Nola before Ruben Tejada slapped an inside-the-park home run on a line drive to right field. Tejada’s liner eluded Phillies right fielder Domonic Brown, who went crashing into the right field stands, before it was eventually chased down by Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez on the warning track. Tejada reached a top speed of 19.2 miles per hour on his sprint around the diamond, a trip that lasted a blistering 16.46 seconds after Hernandez took his time on the way to first base. This offered base still has the stanchion attached. It is accompanied by a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 335353) and a COA from Amazin’ Mets Memorabilia.
