Offered here is a Schutt base used as third base during the first three innings of the New York Mets 5-4 home victory at Shea Stadium on May 24th, 2006 against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Mets offense was driven by Carlos Beltran and David Wright, who hit solo home runs in the first and third innings, respectively. Beltran’s home run was the 175th of his career, while Wright’s longball was his 49th. Both home runs came against Phillies starter Jon Lieber. The stanchion to this base is still attached, and the base shows good wear. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB 067086) and a LOA from Mets-Steiner Collectibles (01628).
