Rod Carew closed out his Hall of Fame career in 1984 and 1985 with the California Angels where he still combined for a respectable .286 batting average in 896 plate appearances. Carew would finish his career with a lofty .326 batting average and 3,053 hits and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 on his first ballot.
This offered Louisville Slugger C243 model bat was used by Carew during the 1984 and 1985 seasons and displays light to moderate use. This bat is un-cracked and has several ball marks, blue ink transfers and cleat marks on the barrel. Carew’s number “29” is hand written on the knob in black marker. A terrific late-career gamer from one of baseball’s greatest hitters and it comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA, who have graded this bat a GU 7.5. There is also an additional LOA from Mears for the game use.
