Nicknamed “The Chief” by teammate Cedric Maxwell for his “stoic” demeanor based on the character “Chief Bromden” from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Hall of Famer Robert Parish is quietly regarded as one of the best center’s of all-time. Parish won three NBA titles with the Celtics after being acquired from the Golden State Warriors on a draft-day trade between the Warriors and Celtics in 1980. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Parish, known as “The Big Three” formed one of the best front courts in NBA history.

Parish wore this offered white home Boston Celtics Champion mesh jersey during the 1990-91 season, most likely in the beginning of the season due to a lack of a memorial armband that was added between December 24th and 27th of that year. This size 46 with a “3” L.B.” jersey was manufactured by Champion and is one of the three accepted styles used by Champion that season. This jersey features “CELTICS” arched across the chest and Parish’s number “00” sewn on in green tackle twill. The Champion tag and “90” tag are sewn on the base of the front left tail, along with a “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for BOSTON CELTICS” tag. The NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left shoulder and the open neck and sleeves are bordered in a green/white/green pattern. The back of the jersey has “PARISH” and “00” sewn on in green tackle twill. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
