New York Yankees second baseman Starlin Castro wore these cleats and batting gloves during the 2017 MLB season. Castro, an All-Star in 2017, hit .300 with 16 homers and 63 RBI for the American League runners-up. The cleats are high-top Nike Air Huarache 2KF Elite road cleats, with Castro’s number “14” printed on the heels and embroidered in navy on the heel tags. “CASTRO” is embroidered in black on the navy tongue. Nine metal spikes are located on the soles of the gray and navy size 10 cleats. Castro has signed the toe of each cleat in blue marker, inscribing “GU 2017” below each signature.

Also included in this lot are a pair of Nike MVP batting gloves worn by Castro in 2017. The batting gloves are white with gray accents and a Nike swoosh logo applied to the top of each hand. A “MVP” logo is present on the wrist straps. Castro has signed the palm of each glove in blue marker, inscribing “GU 2017” below each signature. The cleats and batting gloves each come with a LOA from Starlin Castro.
