Nelson Cruz joined the Seattle Mariners via a free agent to start the 2015 season and the slugging outfielder/DH did not disappoint, belting 44 home runs, despite playing the majority of his games at pitcher-friendly Safeco Field in his first season. Cruz continued to excel offensively for the Mariners as he crushed 39 home runs and had an American League-high 119 RBI during the 2017 season. Cruz used this Marucci NC23-LDM model bat during the 2017 season when he led the AL in RBI. This bat displays excellent game use and has a crack in the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the lower barrel/upper handle area. Cruz’s number “23” is stamped in white on the knob and the date of manufacture “03/09/17” is also stamped on the knob. Cruz has signed his name in black marker on the barrel and inscribed “23”. His signature has been signed on the some of the marks on the barrel, which have affected the quality of his autograph. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13937) for the game use and a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (F63886) for the signature.
