Known for his gritty play and clutch goal scoring, Craig MacTavish was one of the most unsung players to lace up the skates. The last player to go helmetless in the NHL, MacTavish played 16 seasons in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and St. Louis Blues, where he won four Stanley Cups (3 with Edmonton and 1 with the Rangers). MacTavish wore this home white Edmonton Oilers jersey during the 1991-92 season, where he scored 12 goals and had 18 assists in 80 games.
This jersey was manufactured by CCM/Maska and features the Oilers logo sewn on the front in white, blue and orange tackle twill. The assistant captain’s “A” is sewn on the upper left chest in blue, white and orange tackle twill and the NHL’s 75th Anniversary patch is sewn on the upper right chest. The top of the jersey has blue shoulders with orange borders, while the bottom of the jersey has two blue stripes and an orange center stripe. The jersey sleeves have the same blue and orange striping pattern and MacTavish’s number “14” sewn on in blue, white and orange tackle twill. The back of the jersey has “MACTAVISH” sewn in on blue tackle twill on a matching air-knit white nameplate. The number “14” is sewn on in blue, white and orange tackle twill. The bottom back tail has “CCM” embroidered in blue and white with the NHL logo embroidered in black and orange to the right of the CCM. There is a fight strap sewn on the inside back of the jersey. This jersey displays outstanding game use with numerous stains and abrasions present. This jersey comes with a LOA from The MeiGray Group (106431) for the game use.
