New York’s Polo Grounds was one of the defining characters of New York sports, home to franchises from the New York Yankees to the baseball and football Giants, as well as the Mets for the first two seasons of the franchise’s existence before the expansion team moves to their permanent home at Shea Stadium. This chair is made of orange metal and gray painted wood, with a black and orange metal “NY” logo under the left armrest. The number “1” is painted in black on this seat. This is a tremendous display piece from one of the most important venues in American sports history.
