The New York Yankees won their 13th World Series title in 1950 after defeating the “Whiz Kid” Philadelphia Phillies in a four-game Fall Classic. The Yankees were led by a triumvirate of Hall of Famers on offense, with Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, and Phil Rizzuto contributing the lion’s share of the Yankees offense. 37-year old Johnny Mize was a key bat off the bench for the Yankees, crushing 25 longballs in only 90 games. Whitey Ford made his debut in 1950, going 9-1 with a 2.81 ERA in 20 appearances. This offered 1950 Yankees team photograph shows Casey Stengel’s men in their home whites, seated on the grass between sections 31 and 27. This black and white photograph measures 13 x 10 inches and comes in a 20 x 17-inch framed display.
