Presented here is a collection of four game used New York Mets jerseys from the 1980’s. The first jersey is a gray two-button pullover worn by Ron Hodges in 1980. The jersey has “Mets” and Hodges’ number “42” sewn on the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. “HODGES” and a second “42” are sewn on the back in the same fashion, with Hodges’ name sewn over a matching gray nameplate. A Rawlings size “42” tag with an attached “Set 1 1988” flag is sewn on the front left tail. The second jersey is a gray road jersey worn by Randy Niemann in 1986. This pullover jersey has “Mets” and Niemann’s number “40” sewn on the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. “NIEMANN” and a second “40” are sewn on the back in the same fashion, with Niemann’s name sewn over a matching gray nameplate. A Goodman size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail. Niemann has signed the chest of this jersey in blue marker.

The third jersey in this lot was worn by Danny Heep in 1986. This gray road pullover jersey has “Mets” and Heep’s number “25” sewn on the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. “HEEP” and a second “25” are sewn on the back in the same fashion, with Heep’s name sewn over a matching gray nameplate. A Goodman size “40” tag is sewn on the front left tail. Heep has signed the chest of the jersey in blue marker. The final item in this lot is a blue batting practice pullover jersey worn during the early 1980’s. “Mets” and “59” are sewn on the chest in gray and orange tackle twill, with a second “59” sewn on the back in the same fashion. A Rawlings size “46” is sewn on the front tail of this knit jersey. The Niemann and Heep jerseys come with a COA from JSA (AA82271, AA82272). The entire lot comes with a LOA from noted game used expert Dave Miedema.
