This offered bat was used by Mike Trout during his second MVP season of 2016 and further established him as one of the game’s most exciting young players. The Angels star followed up his 2014 MVP season by becoming the youngest player in the game to reach both 100 career home runs and stolen bases. For the fourth consecutive season he was a finalist for the AL MVP, and although he didn’t win it that year, he did the next season, hitting .315 with 29 homers, 30 stolen bases and an even 100 RBI.

This offered bat was manufactured in 2015, but used by Trout during his tremendous MVP season of 2016, signed and inscribed by the 2016 MVP as well. Trout’s Old Hickory MT27* model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions and blue ink transfers are visible along with cleat imprints on the barrel. The lower handle has been taped with Lizard Skin tape to enhance the grip and a heavy coat of Mota Stick applied to the upper handle and center brand. Trout has signed the barrel in silver pen adding “16 G/U.” This bat comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (3265) for the signature and game use and a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13931), who have graded this bat a perfect GU 10 for the game use.
