Offered here is a Jake Daubert Hillerich & Bradsby retail model bat that comes directly from the collection of Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr. Doerr spent all 14 years of his career with the Boston Red Sox, missing only the 1945 season due to his military service in World War II. Doerr was a nine-time all-star and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1986. A unique aspect of the bat is the letter “M” that has been carved into the front barrel and knob end. Jake Daubert played in the Major League from 1910 to 1924 and finished with a .303 career batting average. Daubert was also known for trying to unionize baseball as early as 1913, serving as vice president of the Baseball Players’ Fraternity. A truly remarkable piece of baseball history and comes directly from one of the Red Sox’s best players. This bat comes with a LOA from the family of Bobby Doerr.
