Dick Enberg was presented with this Sportscaster of the Year award in 1990 by the American Sportscasters Association. Enberg, a legendary figure in sports broadcasting, was an ubiquitous figure in the broadcast booth around 1990, calling the NBA on NBC, the Breeders’ Cup, Wimbledon, and more. This award takes the shape of a bronze-colored RCA microphone on a wooden pedestal, measuring a total of 11 inches tall. The base measures 6 x 9 inches at its widest dimensions. A placard affixed to the base is etched in high relief with “1990 Sportscaster of the Year / Dick Enberg / American Sportscasters Association / NY Marriot Marquis – November 29, 1990”. This award comes with a LOA from the Enberg family.
