Offered here is a collection of three items from the twilight of Dick Enberg’s broadcasting career as the voice of the San Diego Padres. The first item in this lot is Enberg’s San Diego Padres scorebook for the 2016 season, his final year in the booth. It begins with a spring training contest and the final entry is Enberg’s handwritten farewell speech to San Diego. This spiral bound notebook is absolutely packed with Enberg’s handwritten scoring and notes as the play-by-play voice for San Diego. The second item in this lot is an appreciation award presented to Enberg by the San Diego Padres. The award takes the shape of a microphone on a black pedestal, measuring a total of 12 inches tall with the microphone adjusted to its highest vertical position. A placard on the pedestal reads “Richard Alan ‘Dick’ Enberg / San Diego Padres / 2010-2016 / ‘Oh My!’ / Thank you, from your Padres family”. The award is in excellent condition. The final item in this lot is a commemorative Marucci bat honoring the Ronal Reagan Centennial Celebration in 2011. The bat is etched with Ronald Reagan’s signature, the Reagan Centennial logo, and “Centennial Celebration / Dick Enberg / San Diego Padres”. The bat, which has a cupped end, is dark brown and in good condition. This lot comes with a LOA from the Enberg family.
