Hall of Fame small forward Alex English was one of the greatest NBA players of his era. English was the catalyst of the high-powered Denver Nuggets offenses of the 1980’s, making nine straight All-Star teams with the Nuggets and scoring 25.9 points per game during his 11 seasons in the Mile High City. Offered here is the very basketball used by English to score the milestone 20,000th point of his NBA career. English reached this milestone on January 6th, 1988, against the New Jersey Nets. The Nuggets won this game 98-93, with English leading all scorers with 35 points. Do-it-all point guard Lafayette “Fat” Lever contributed 24 points, 8 steals, and 6 assists in the Nuggets winning effort. This basketball has been signed by many of English’s Denver teammates, including Fat Lever, Nuggets coach Doug Moe, English himself, Mike Evans, Wayne Cooper, Danny Schayes, Calvin Natt, Jay Vincent, Bill Hanzlik, T.R. Dunn, and several others. The signatures have been written in black marker. This basketball comes with a LOA from JSA and a LOA from Alex English himself.
