Offered is a 19-piece collection of BF1 Ferguson Bakery Felt Pennants issued in the mid-1910s. Issued between 1915 and 1918 as Ferguson Bakery Bread premiums, these colorful, approximately 2-7/8" x 6" felt pennats feature small 1-1/4" x 1-3/4" black-and-white portrait photos. The array of Allied Heroes includes: Admiral Benson/USN, Admiral Sims/USN, General Alderson/Canada (2), General Barthelot/France, General Bullard/USA, General Byng/Great Britain, General Carson/Canada, General Diaz/Italy (2), General Fayolle/France, General Mangin/France, General Pershing/USA, General Plummer/Great Britain, Herbert Asquith/Great Britain, King George/Great Britain, Marshall Petain/France, Secretary of Navy/Daniels and Secretary of Treasury/McAdoo. All but five examples (Barthelot, Carson, Daniels, Pershing and Sims) have a punch hole through them in the upper right corner. Pennants are mostly EX to EX/MT (some with light toning).
