Presented is a 572-card complete set of 1960 Topps baseball cards. In 1960, young consumers opening wax packs were reintroduced to the aesthetically exhilarating, horizontally oriented motif that had once characterized Topps' mid-1950s products. This release offers a powerful line-up of rookie cards and superstars, with some of those prominent figures appearing on a multitude of cards. Highlights include: #'s 10 Banks, 28 B. Robinson, 35 Ford, 50 Kaline, 73 Gibson, 148 Yastrzemski, 160 Mantle/Boyer, 200 Mays, 250 Musial, 300 Aaron, 316 McCovey, 326 Clemente, 332 Yankees, 343 Koufax, 350 Mantle, 377 Maris, 445 Spahn, 480 Berra, 490 F. Robinson, 493 Snider, 560 Banks AS, 563 Mantle AS, 564 Mays AS and 566 Aaron AS. The care and meticulous nature of the previous owner has resulted in the majority of the cards presenting at the EX/MT to NM/MT range (some lesser). If pressed to criticize, there is the occasional reverse-side wax stain or corner/edge "ding." On the back of the overwhelming majority of the cards is a thin, linear surface impression running diagonally near one or more corners. In some instances, this is barely noticeable while in others there may be an indentation in the stock of the card; both unanticipated by-products of the corner mounts used to place the items in their original album.
