Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the all-time leading scorer in NBA history and Hall of Famer, was presented with this Martin Luther King Jr. Servant-Leadership Award by Arizona State University on January 26, 1999. Measuring 17 ¾ x 5 x 8 inches, this wavy award has an acrylic base that reads in black “ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. SERVANT-LEADERSHIP AWARD PRESENTED TO KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR JANUARY 26, 1999. The metallic top piece of this award features an intricate Native American design. The award is in overall good condition with only a few scrapes and abrasions. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
