The 2001 St. Louis Rams seemed to score at will, leading the NFL with an amazing 31.4 points scored per game. Defenses certainly had their work cut out for them in trying to stop the Rams many potent weapons. Quarterback Kurt Warner threw for 4,830 yards and 36 touchdowns, while running back Marshall Faulk rushed for 1,382 yards and 12 TDs (also catching 83 balls with nine receiving scores). Wide receivers Torry Holt (1,363) and Isaac Bruce (1,106) each recorded well over 1,000 yards receiving. After finishing the regular season with a record of 14-2, the Rams dismantled the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round by a score of 45-17. St. Louis then defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, in a hard-fought 29-24 battle, to reach the Super Bowl (the New England Patriots would defeat the Rams, 20-17).

Offered here is a Jostens 14K gold 2001 St. Louis Rams NFC championship player’s ring presented to Chidi Ahanotu, who played in all 16 games for the Rams that season, recording two sacks. This ring features a larger round diamond (approximately .60 carat) in the center of the face, as a gold Rams horn - filled with additional diamonds - swirls around it. “ST. LOUIS RAMS NFC CHAMPIONS” reads around the bezel setting, which holds a large simulated blue sapphire stone. One side of the ring displays the George Halas Trophy above a logo of Super Bowl XXXVI. Also shown is the final score (29-24) of the NFC Championship Game, as well as the year 2001. The opposite side is highlighted by an enamel-filled Rams logo, as well as the name “AHANOTU”, the number 72, and the logo for the NFC.  “© JOSTENS 14K” is marked inside the band of this approximate size 14 ring. The weight of this item is approximately 40.8 grams. Included is the original hinged wooden presentation box which reads “St. Louis Rams 2001 N.F.C. Champions” along with the Super Bowl XXXVI logo. This ring comes with a LOA from Chidi Ahanotu.
