New York Giants nose tackle Jim Burt has signed this game used Super Bowl XXI football. Burt, a standout for the New York Giants during the 1980’s, recording 20 sacks and earning a berth in the 1986 Pro Bowl. Burt was a key member of the Giants march to the Super Bowl XXI title, laying a thunderous hit on Joe Montana in the 1986 Divisional Round game that resulted in a pick-six for Lawrence Taylor in the Giants 49-3 victory. The Giants went on to defeat the Denver Broncos in a lopsided 39-20 win in Super Bowl XXI. Burt has signed this game used Wilson football in black marker. He inscribed “Game Used” below his signature. Printed on this football is “National Football League / New York Giants vs. Denver Broncos / Pasadena, CA January 25, 1987”.
