Roberto Clemente was presented with this Man of the Year medal in 1964. Clemente won his second National League batting title in 1964, hitting .339 with an NL-high 211 hits. The Hall of Famer added 12 homers, 87 RBI, and 40 doubles to his All-Star season. The Puerto Rico native earned the fourth of his 12 consecutive Gold Glove awards in 1964 for his outstanding defensive play in right. This offered medal is in the shape of a silver coin, with a worn red, white, and blue ribbon. “Victoria” and an image of a head are stamped on the front, while “Feb 1964 R. Clemente Figura Del Ano” is etched on the back. The medal exhibits some wear and is displayed in a 15 x 12-inch frame next to a photograph of Clemente. This item comes with a LOA from the Clemente family.
