Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar joined his brother Sandy Jr. on the Cleveland Indians in 1999, and the pair played together for several seasons. Being among family must have inspired Alomar because he banged out one of the greatest seasons of his Hall of Fame career in 2001 when he hit .323, 24 homers, 120 RBI and 37 stolen bases. Used during that “All in the Family season, Alomar’s Rawlings 460A model bat is un-cracked and exhibits outstanding use. There are many ball marks with stitch impressions that are found on the barrel along with blue ink transfers. The handle has been scored to enhance the grip and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle. The model number “460A,” order “870,” and year “01” are stamped into the knob and the bat’s weight and length “35/33” are written in black marker. Alomar has signed the barrel and added his number “12” in black marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14243) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5. Additionally, there is a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A19458) for the signature.
