Few cards in our solar system display such a visually compelling, artwork-based illustration as this rendering depicting the White Sox' Nelson Fox in his debut appearance. It takes more than a moment for the mind to process its beautifully drawn shading, its unerring definition in each line, and the manner in which the delicate cardfront bearing the image has been totally spared through more than a half-century of potential hazards. And, although hailing from a series not necessarily noted for thick, superficial gloss, this sharp-cornered, perfectly centered masterpiece will treat the viewer's eye to a tantalizing glimmer.
