Los Angeles Angels superstar centerfielder Mike Trout wore this red Angels alternate jersey for five games in July and September of the 2018 MLB season. Trout, a two-time American League MVP, first wore this jersey on July 27th, 2018, during the Angels 4-3 victory in 10 innings against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Trout finished the game 1-3 with a walk as Kole Calhoun’s solo homer in the bottom of the tenth handed the Angels a walk-off victory. Trout’s next game in this jersey came the following day as the Angels won a second game over the Mariners by a score of 11-5. Trout hit a solo home run off Felix Hernandez in the first inning for his 29th home run of the season and the 230th of his career. Trout wore this jersey for a third time on July 29th during the final game of the series against Seattle. The New Jersey native finished 1-3 with two runs and two walks in this game, an 8-5 Mariners victory.

Trout’s fourth game in this jersey came on July 31st, during a 10-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Trout went 2-5 in this game with a double, an RBI, two runs scored, and his 30th home run of the season. Trout’s four-bagger came in the seventh inning as Trout took Ryan Yarbrough deep to center field to clinch his fifth season with 30 or more bombs. Trout’s final game in this alternate jersey was an 8-1 Angels home victory over the Texas Rangers on September 12th. The Angels rode six shutout innings from starter Felix Pena and a two-homer, four-RBI night from catcher Francisco Arcia to a comfortable victory.

Trout finished the 2018 season as one of the very best players in baseball, putting up a Triple Crown slash line of .312/39/79 with 24 stolen bases and 122 walks. Trout led baseball in on-base percentage (.460) and OPS (1.088) while making his seventh straight All-Star Game and finishing second in the American League MVP race. This was Trout’s third career season with over 10 bWAR, and he was perfect in the field, recording 278 defensive chances without an error. This offered red alternate jersey is a button-down with “ANGELS” and Trout’s number “27” sewn on the chest in red, navy, white, and gray tackle twill. “TROUT” is sewn across the back shoulders in red, navy, and white tackle twill, while a second “27” is sewn on the back in red, navy, white, and gray tackle twill. An Angels “A” logo patch is sewn on the right sleeve while a circular Angels patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a white Majestic logo. The collar and sleeves are accented with a white-gray-white band and the sides and back tail of the jersey are constructed of a red mesh fabric. A Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail. The jersey comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (3285) and a MLB Authenticated hologram (JD 554383) as well as a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (181210A1).
