Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is a unique "1 of 1" collectible in PSA's census reporting, with none graded higher! (In fact, just five examples of the '58 Hires Test Mays card, alone – without the delicate Tab, without that appendage's built-in condition sensitivity and absent the full piece's heightened rarity – have met the requirements of the EX-MT level.) This nearly impeccable item is a true "prize" in every respect. Its obverse glistens with bright color as seen through full gloss, and the die-cut perforations anchoring the Tab appear freshly machined. The piece's only concession to mortality takes the form of faint touches to the top-edge corner tips. The offered card stands at a top tier, representing the best of its kind ever documented. It's an unlikely, pristine example of an extraordinarily delicate issue. (And, it's far superior in preservation quality to the PSA PR 1 example that sold for $4,200 in a Spring, 2018 REA auction.)
