1964 saw the Twins Harmon Killebrew leading the American League in home runs for the third consecutive year. “The Killer” also batted .270 and banged in 111 RBIs as he was voted to his sixth All-Star team. As was the custom back then, Hillerich & Bradsby produced a couple of specially stamped bats for each player to use during the All-Star Game, and this is one of the ones sent to Killebrew. This Hillerich & Bradsby S207 model bat has been made game-ready and is un-cracked. The barrel carries the custom “1964 ALL-STAR GAME NEW YORK” on the barrel. The model number “S207” is stamped into the knob and Killebrew’s number “3” is hand written in black marker. The Killer has signed the bat and added his tally for the ’64 Mid-Summer Classic: “3 Hits Shea Stadium NY” in black marker. A great example of a scarce bat made specifically for Killebrew’s use in the All-Star Game. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05649) for the game use and a COA from JSA for the signature (CC55404).
