During the 1991-1997 seasons, Cal Ripken, Jr. poured it on during this last stretch of his 2,632 consecutive games played streak. Cal hit .278 with 145 homers and capped off the second of his two AL MVP Awards. The Louisville Slugger P72 model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. There are several ball marks and scuffs on the barrel and some abrasion marks from contact with the ground and other equipment. Ripken’s number “8” is hand written on the knob and “RIP” is written on the barrel end in silver marker. The Iron Man has signed the barrel in contrasting silver marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16167) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5, plus a LOA from JSA (Z67435) for the signature.
