Minnesota Twins slugger Harmon Killebrew wore this navy Twins cap during the 1969 MLB season. Killebrew ran away with the American League MVP award in 1969, leading baseball in homers (49) and RBI (140) while drawing an AL-high 145 bases on balls. Killebrew powered the Twins to a 97-win season and an appearance in the inaugural American League Championship Series. Killer’s 49 homers tied a career high, and his 140 RBI stand alone as his best seasonal mark. Killebrew retired after spending the 1975 season with the Kansas City Royals and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.
This offered Twins cap is navy, with the Twins “TC” logo sewn on the front with a white “T” and a red “C”. Killebrew’s number “3” is handwritten in black marker on the underside of the brim. A Wilson tag is sewn on the headband next to a size “7” stamp and a “BYC” year code indicating the hat was manufactured in 1969. This hat shows light to moderate use and comes with a LOA from JT Sports.
