Nolan Ryan recorded the seventh no hitter of his exemplary career on May 1st, 1991, with a nine-inning masterclass against the Toronto Blue Jays for the Texas Rangers. The 44-year old Ryan, still the best power pitcher in baseball, whiffed 16 Blue Jays batters en route to a 3-0 win in front of 33,439 fans at Arlington Stadium. All three Texas runs came in the third inning off a two-run homer from Ruben Sierra and a misplaced throw from Greg Myers that plated Gary Pettis. Ryan wound up with a 12-6 record in 1991, maintaining a 2.91 ERA with 203 strikeouts in only 173 innings.

This Official American League Bobby Brown baseball shows even wear throughout. Written in black pen on the panel south of the sweet spot is “7th No Hitter” and “5-1-91”. Between the two inscriptions is Ryan’s black pen signature. This baseball comes with a COA from JSA (CC16976) and a LOA from John Shulock, the second base umpire at Ryan’s seventh no hitter and the original recipient of this baseball.
