Presented here is Dick Enberg’s personally owned 1986 American Sportscaster Association Sportscaster of the Year award. Enberg was a ubiquitous figure on American television sets at the time, calling everything from Wimbledon to the NFL on NBC. This award takes the shape of a white Boehm Porcelain eagle spreading its wings atop a white column. It stands, detachable, on a cylindrical wooden pedestal. A plaque on the pedestal reads “American Sportscaster Association / Sportscaster of the Year / Dick Enberg / Boehm Porcelain Eagle / New York, November 18, 1986”. The eagle measures 16.5 inches tall when placed on the pedestal, and its outstretched wings bring the total height to 20.5 inches. The wingspan measures 13 inches across. Please note that while several talons are missing from the eagle, the avian showstopper is in fine overall condition. This unique trophy comes with a LOA from the Enberg family.
