New York Mets ace Sid Fernandez wore this pinstriped pullover home jersey during the 1987 MLB season. Fernandez won 12 games for the 92-70 Mets, maintaining a 3.80 ERA and making his second consecutive All-Star Game. “El Sid” struck out 7.7 batters per nine innings and hurled three complete games, the second most on the Mets behind Doc Gooden’s seven.
This offered pullover home jersey has blue pinstripes and orange-blue-orange racing stripes on the sleeves and sides of the jersey. “Mets” and Fernandez’s number “50” are sewn on the chest of the jersey in blue and orange tackle twill. “FERNANDEZ” and a second “50” are sewn on the back of the jersey in the same fashion. A Rawlings size “48” and “87 1 56” tags are sewn inside the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
