Chicago Cubs first baseman Mark Grace wore this blue Cubs pullover road jersey during the 1988 MLB season. Grace made his MLB debut in May of 1988 after a meteoric two-season ascent of the Cubs minor league system, going 2-5 in his debut, a 5-2 victory over the San Diego Padres. Grace continued to rake through the regular season, hitting .296 with 7 homers and 57 RBI, good for a second-place finish in the National League Rookie of the Year race. This offered 1988 road jersey has the Cubs logo sewn on the chest, and a secondary Cubs logo patch sewn on the left sleeve. “GRACE” and his number “17” are sewn on the back of the jersey in red and white tackle twill. A Rawlings size “42” tag with an attached “Set 2 1988” flag is sewn on the back inside collar. A “17 88 2 42” swatch is sewn directly below the Rawlings tag. Grace has signed the Cubs logo on the front of the jersey in black marker. The jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (315886) for the game use, who have assigned the jersey a solid grade of A8 and a COA from JSA for the signature.
